WEEKDAYS 6:00am-10:00am

I LOVE playing rockin' songs on KHITS in the morning 'cause when I'm crankin' up the studio speakers (...and they are SA-weet!)...I visualize you rollin' down the highway 'equally cranked'! I've been up and down the dial in St. Louis since the mid 80's doing news anchor and talk show host gigs on the AM band. On FM I've been "Rockin' Ricky" (still am!), part of Chase and Sanborn , one of the brothers of The Sanborn Brothers, and the music stations ran the gamut, rock, country, oldies, soft rock, smooth jazz...and here at "The Rock Wall of Emmis" where I'm havin' a blast! This place rocks!

I remember the scene in the movie "Parenthood" where Keanu Reeve's character rails about needing a license to do all sorts of things, like fishing, hunting, driving...but (paraphrasing) "any a-hole can be a parent, how come you don't need to get a license for that"? here's a gallery of pictures from 'The Daily Mail' which illistrates that point. btw, after you look at the bad parents pix, you're likely to look at the stories and pix on the right hand 'sidebar'...so click on when you've got some time to waste. http://bit.ly/HbbPax

Rolling Stones Want What You Got CAVEAT

concerning my blog from yesterday about sending stuff to the Rolling Stones as they seek to collect memorabilia from the past 50 years--a word of caution Stoners:

back in the early-'90's the team putting together The Beatles Anthology sent out a very similar letter out to fans asking for their rare one of a kind memorabilia. A lot of them never got their prized mementos back, instead getting legal letters saying that their films, photos, and letters were now the property of the Beatles' company Apple.

So, if you'd like to help the Stones out with their archival projects -- cool -- just don't send your originals that you might never get back.
