I LOVE playing rockin' songs on KHITS in the morning 'cause when I'm crankin' up the studio speakers (...and they are SA-weet!)...I visualize you rollin' down the highway 'equally cranked'! I've been up and down the dial in St. Louis since the mid 80's doing news anchor and talk show host gigs on the AM band. On FM I've been "Rockin' Ricky" (still am!), part of Chase and Sanborn , one of the brothers of The Sanborn Brothers, and the music stations ran the gamut, rock, country, oldies, soft rock, smooth jazz...and here at "The Rock Wall of Emmis" where I'm havin' a blast! This place rocks!

St. Louis Skyline In (Another) Movie
Posted

"Identity Thief" opens tomorrow and when I saw a sneak preview earlier this week the hometown audience applauded and whooped it up when our town's Arch and downtown skyline was shown. Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy's characters are driving from Florida when they make an overnight stop in St. Louis. The movie is funny and I think it's gonna be one of those movies that gets even funnier with repeat viewings, like Anchorman and The Hangover and Napolean Dynamite. Scenes with Eric Stonestreet (Cam from Modern Family) are laff-out-loud and so is McCarthy explaining Bateman's 'manhood problem' to a hotel clerk. Just remembering those makes me want to see it again.
