I LOVE playing rockin' songs on KHITS in the morning 'cause when I'm crankin' up the studio speakers (...and they are SA-weet!)...I visualize you rollin' down the highway 'equally cranked'! I've been up and down the dial in St. Louis since the mid 80's doing news anchor and talk show host gigs on the AM band. On FM I've been "Rockin' Ricky" (still am!), part of Chase and Sanborn , one of the brothers of The Sanborn Brothers,and the music stations ran the gamut, rock, country, oldies, soft rock, smooth jazz...and here at "The Rock Wall of Emmis" where I'm havin' a blast! This place rocks!

Stones vids, but not of the stones!

Kinda like my vacation pictures, so let's bore the grandkids now, shall we? A description of what you'll see in these brief videos from my trip to Newark last week to see The Stones Thursday and Saturday night concerts.
vid one: outside the venue before the first show on Thursday, anticipation mounts!
vid 2: I met people from all over the country who had traveld to the show, San Fran, Florida, Phoenix...and also fans who made an interantional trak, a woman from Africa, a couple from Sweden who flew in WITHOUT having tickets hoping to score outdies the venue and in this vid it's an English dude who went to both shows in London and brought his American date to her FIRST Rolling Stones show Thursday. He freaked a little because it didn't look like the ticket window had his reserved tix, and she is giddy with anticipation.
vid 3: this 'tile' was embedded in the floor at EVERY entrance to The Prudential Center--how cool! (and a long lasting tribute!)
