I LOVE playing rockin' songs on KHITS in the morning 'cause when I'm crankin' up the studio speakers (...and they are SA-weet!)...I visualize you rollin' down the highway 'equally cranked'! I've been up and down the dial in St. Louis since the mid 80's doing news anchor and talk show host gigs on the AM band. On FM I've been "Rockin' Ricky" (still am!), part of Chase and Sanborn , one of the brothers of The Sanborn Brothers,and the music stations ran the gamut, rock, country, oldies, soft rock, smooth jazz...and here at "The Rock Wall of Emmis" where I'm havin' a blast! This place rocks!

Interview With Aussie Pink Floyd's Keyboardist

I'm SO glad the Australian Pink Floyd show makes St. Louis one of the band's annual tour dates. Each year I'm singing their praises to the un-initiated. The show takes place this Friday and once again I HIGHLY recommend that you get tickets, take a bunch ofpeople and BE BLOWN AWAY! The interview is with co-founder and keyboardist for the band, Jason Swafford, who told me it takes many months of pre-planning before a show like this can be staged properly. Even while this tour is underway, Jason told me that the band is already starting to discuss 'production' for next year's tour. APF started back in 1988. After you listen to the interview, here's a vid of them, more than 2 decades into bringing Floyd's catalog alive.
