I LOVE playing rockin' songs on KHITS in the morning 'cause when I'm crankin' up the studio speakers (...and they are SA-weet!)...I visualize you rollin' down the highway 'equally cranked'! I've been up and down the dial in St. Louis since the mid 80's doing news anchor and talk show host gigs on the AM band. On FM I've been "Rockin' Ricky" (still am!), part of Chase and Sanborn , one of the brothers of The Sanborn Brothers, and the music stations ran the gamut, rock, country, oldies, soft rock, smooth jazz...and here at "The Rock Wall of Emmis" where I'm havin' a blast! This place rocks!

I'm A Hog For You Baby!

That's the title of a Coaster's song but it came to mind when I read this true story today: < A 70-year-old farmer in Oregon went outside to feed his 700-pound HOGS. And something went VERY wrong . . . because they ended up eating HIM. His dentures were on the ground and a few remaining parts of his body were scattered around the pen. The hogs ate almost all of him. Police are investigating how he ended up getting eaten and haven't ruled out foul play. > The story also reminded me of a theme in the follow-up book to "The Silence Of The Lambs" in which Hannibal Lecter is sought by a vindictive victim of his who wants to have Hannibal eaten alive by wild hogs. The book goes into much more detail about this than the movie did, a glaring error on behalf of the screenplay writers in my opinion. As a matter of fact the entire book is better than the movie which starred Anthony Hopkins, Julianne Moore and Ray Liotta. Read it while enjoying a bacon and peanut butter sandwich! Yummy!
