WEEKDAYS 6:00am-10:00am

I LOVE playing rockin' songs on KHITS in the morning 'cause when I'm crankin' up the studio speakers (...and they are SA-weet!)...I visualize you rollin' down the highway 'equally cranked'! I've been up and down the dial in St. Louis since the mid 80's doing news anchor and talk show host gigs on the AM band. On FM I've been "Rockin' Ricky" (still am!), part of Chase and Sanborn , one of the brothers of The Sanborn Brothers, and the music stations ran the gamut, rock, country, oldies, soft rock, smooth jazz...and here at "The Rock Wall of Emmis" where I'm havin' a blast! This place rocks!

My 'Black" Birthday
Posted 8/7/2012 11:25:00 AM

First, thank YOU for sending me 'happy birthday' greetings while I celebrated with 100,000 or my 'closest' friends at Lollapalooza! I opted for Black Sabbath over Black Keys on my birthday. I have seen Black Keys twice and they are great. I...was planning on seeing them again but thought about a potential 'lost' opportunity if I didn't see Sabbath. This guy's website not only has video of the performance, but also offers still pictures of the festival which gives a taste of both artists as well as concert-goers like me. http://bit.ly/NaNBCg

I must say that one of the many joys of my annual trek to Lolla is the discovery of newer artists. So when a severe thunderstorm forced the evacuation of Grant Park's 100,000 'visitors' on day 2 of the festival, it also meant several acts didn't get to play. One of the bands I was stoked to see was one of those canceled, but I'll be on the look out for "Alabama Shakes" for future concerts because this 'concert video' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HxNtWEIKhQ
