I LOVE playing rockin' songs on KHITS in the morning 'cause when I'm crankin' up the studio speakers (...and they are SA-weet!)...I visualize you rollin' down the highway 'equally cranked'! I've been up and down the dial in St. Louis since the mid 80's doing news anchor and talk show host gigs on the AM band. On FM I've been "Rockin' Ricky" (still am!), part of Chase and Sanborn , one of the brothers of The Sanborn Brothers,and the music stations ran the gamut, rock, country, oldies, soft rock, smooth jazz...and here at "The Rock Wall of Emmis" where I'm havin' a blast! This place rocks!

Jimi Hendrix spotted in Ireland!! NOT REALLY! It's Andre 3000 who will play the iconic rocker in a movie being filmed right now. The odd thing is, there will be no Hendrix music in the movie. The movie will focus on Jimi's London years when he was playing as a backup musician and singing other people's songs b-4 he formed The Jimi Hendrix Experience. This could work. There is a great movie about John Lennon that focuses on the pre-Beatles days called "Nowhere Boy" which works without any Beatles music, so the formula for this kind of 'pre-fame' biopic has already been done well (rent "Nowhere Boy" if you haven't seen it)
