Def Leppard rocking Wembley Stadium before NFL game

Def Leppard will perform on Sunday, September 28th at Wembley Stadium during the first of three NFL International Series games, according to Music-News.com. The September 28th game marks "the ninth regular-season game to be played in London since the International Series began in 2007.”

Frontman Joe Elliott spoke about the appearance before the Oakland Raiders / Miami Dolphins game, saying, “Having most recently visited Wembley in May to watch Sheffield United in the FA Cup semi-final, I know what the atmosphere in the ground is like for 'our' football so I'm really looking forward to performing there before the NFL game and of course soaking up the excitement of the actual match. I can't wait!"

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen told us he and his bandmates always look forward to playing their hits out on the road: "Every night when someone's singing along -- especially when there's a lot of young kids there, 16-year-olds and that -- it is fresh, actually makes you feel really good when there's a whole new breed of people just singing away to songs that you've done. It doesn't really matter whether it's a new song or an old song, it's still our song, so it's a huge compliment. It really is, it's the best thing in the world."

Kiss and Def Leppard tour dates (subject to change):

August 28 - Maryland Heights, MO - Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre
August 29 - Tulsa, OK - BOK Center
August 31 - Woodlands, TX - Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
September 6 - Monterrey, Mexico - Parque Acero Fundidora (Def Leppard only)
