Lou Gramm announces first 2014 shows

Although he hinted at retiring last year, former Foreigner frontman Lou Gramm will be back on the boards in 2014 and has rolled out his initial tour dates. Gramm is enjoying a higher profile these days due to his recent memoir -- Juke Box Hero: My Five Decades In Rock N' Roll -- and back in April, he reunited for a pair of songs with long-estranged Foreigner co-founder Mick Jones for their joint induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Although Lou Gramm loved Foreigner's mega-platinum ballads like "Waiting For A Girl Like You" -- and more specifically, "I Want To Know What Love Is" -- he believes that as the '80s progressed, the success of the band's softer side made for an uneven picture getting across to radio: "I love the song, but I didn't like what actually what it was doing to our rock reputation -- undermining it, y'know? And then after that came, (sings) 'I Don't Wanna Live Without You' -- and that was nails in the coffin, I think.”
