Rod Stewart announced on his website (RodStewart.com) that he's pushing his spring tour with Steve Winwood back to the fall. A message on February 8th posted to fans read: "To accommodate the finishing pre-production and spring promotion of his first original rock studio album in almost 20 years, Rod Stewart has pushed back his Spring tour with Steve Winwood -- which will now begin in October. Please hold on to your tickets, they will be honored at the rescheduled concert. Refunds available at point of purchase until February 22nd." Rod is currently putting the finishing touches on his upcoming rock album, Love The Life You Live, which is due out later this year.
Ultimate Classic Rock pointed out that, "Instead of a three-week jaunt through 10 North America cities, the shows will now be spread out over two months. The odd schedule, with the entire month of November entirely open, leaves open the probability that more shows will be added."
Rod Stewart told us that the publication of his 2012 autobiography, Rod, made him realize how lucky he was to have such a warm and loving family: "The chapter that really moved me was the first 15 years. I think it's the second chapter in my upbringing and I'd realized just how lucky I'd been with the love and support I'd got within my family. Not only, y'know, 'cause I was a little rebel, but they still stood by me, but I had the support I had in going into the music business, which was unheard of in those days. Y'know, if someone said, 'What's your boy doing?' -- 'He's going to be a singer,' they'd just (laughs) laugh at you."
Rod Stewart's next North American date will be the kickoff of his latest Las Vegas run on July 20th at The Colosseum At Caesars Palace.
