PAUL McCARTNEY OUT TO DINNER WITH STEVEN SPIELBERG AND TOM HANKS

7/12/2012

Paul McCartney was spotted out in Manhattan again with some of his A-list friends. The New York Post reported that "Macca" and wife Nancy Shevell were spotted out having dinner with Hollywood power players Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw, Tom Hanks, and Rita Wilson at the exclusive Upper East Side restaurant Elio's.

McCartney became famous nearly 50 years ago -- shortly after his 21st birthday. He says that although he's never wished he's not famous, things do get odd very quickly because of it: "It's just strange. I don't mind it, of course. 'Cause it's what we wanted was fame -- when you get it, you can't knock it -- but it feels weird. I sometimes wish it wasn't there 'cause it sometimes elevates you out of the real life. People say, wow, they meet you and it's like, 'Oh, God you're a mystic person' -- you say, 'No I'm not, y'want a cup of tea?' But I never have that much trouble with that. Y'know (laughs), they pretty much soon realize I'm normal."
