George Thorogood & The Destroyers are now stretching their 2012 tour through October 6th, when they'll finally wind their year down in Laughlin, Nevada. Thorogood, who'll kick off his next string of dates on July 26th in Belleville, Ontario, has been on the road since March in support of his latest set, called 2120 South Michigan Avenue, which is named after the address to the Chicago Chess studio. The collection features 13 tracks including classics by Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Guy, Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter, Willie Dixon, and Muddy Waters, among other Chess greats. The album also features several Thorogood originals.

Thorogood told us that the secret to his continued success over the years simply amounts to delivering a quality product at a fair market price: "A good cheeseburger will never go out of style. Some things come and go -- you drive by a 7-Eleven, or a liquor store; one sign that's always in the window is Budweiser. Not Dom Perignon -- Budweiser. So I figure George Thorogood and the Destroyers are the Chevy, Chevy Suburbans and double cheeseburgers and Budweiser of America. And that's not a Sh Na Na thing, it's just something people can depend on that doesn't cost a lot of money!"
