Stephen Stills, an innovative guitarist in his own right, has been talking about the late, great, Jimi Hendrix.

Stills told Music Radar that Hendrix was “astonishing – a very dear, dear soul” and was always happy to pass on a few guitar tips.

“I remember he was showing me something,” said Stills. “And I said, ‘Jimi, put your hand up.’ So he held his hand up and I put mine next to his and I said, ‘Your thumb is longer than mine! I can’t do what you’re doing!’ So he went, ‘Oh, yeah,’ and figured out a way to show me the same thing.”
