Paul McCartney has added the third U.S. stop to his 2013 "Out There" tour, with the former Beatle set to perform his first-ever concert in Austin, Texas on May 22nd. Tickets for "Macca's" concert at Frank Erwin Center go on sale Friday, April 12th at 10 a.m. local time at and American Express cardmembers can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, April 9th at 12 noon through Thursday, April 11th at 10 p.m. All times are Central Standard Time.

McCartney has already been announced as the headliner at Manchester, Tennessee's Bonnaroo Festival, which runs from June 13th through 16th, and earlier this week, he announced his return to Boston's Fenway Park on July 9th.

Beatlefan magazine publisher Bill King has caught McCartney multiple times during every tour he's played in North America, and told us that he absolutely rates McCartney's recent shows as among his hottest: "The last half of that setlist is just dynamite. I mean, it's just killer! He has them on their feet screaming for the last, basically, hour of the show. Before that, it's ups and downs -- it depends on what your interests are. Once he got past the acoustic set and kicked in to that last third of the setlist, it's hard for anybody in popular music to touch (laughs) that setlist."
