The DVD for Peter Frampton's Frampton Comes Alive 35 tour will be out by this fall, according to a post by the guitarist on his Facebook page. Frampton wrote: "The audio is all mixed now for DVD of FCA35 TOUR. Thank you (producer/engineer)Chuck Ainlay. Now he sends it to Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering where he does just that -- master the entire audio of the show in 5.1 and stereo. After that it goes to the video people who put it all back together with picture. The last stage is when it goes to Eagle Rock who will author the final DVD. This is then finally the DVD you will be able to pick up in October sometime. I will give you all the release date when it has been finally decided. I am not the 'decider' on this final point. But this control freak would like to be the ultimate 'decider' but some things I just have to let go of with some deep breaths. Oiy!!! Ha !!"

Frampton recalled to us the precise moment in 1976 -- when out of the blue -- he realized that he was rock's latest mega-superstar: ["A record signing in Detroit when the live album just came out. I had no bodyguards or anything like that, and just, y'know, a limo driver and me; that was it and we just go to this store. And they expected 150 people for me to sign Comes Alive when it'd just come out. Of course, it was pandemonium and the place, they had no secur. . . well, relatively no security there. And I remember having to fight to the limo -- we had to abandon the signing because it got way out of control and there have got to be (laughs), I don't know 5,000 people. It was ridiculous."] SOUNDCUE (:35 OC: . . . It was ridiculous)

In addition to the upcoming DVD chronicling his 2011-2012 Frampton Comes Alive 35 tour, Peter Frampton will be issuing a separate live album.

Frampton posted on Facebook: "The audio from the tour was recorded each night (apart from a handful of shows where the union cost made it prohibitive to record). After I have mixed the audio for the DVD, I will, at some point, choose and mix what myself and the band feel are the best individual performances of each song or piece."

The upcoming live set will be Peter Frampton's fourth official live album. Although on previous and current tours, he's made each night's performance available to fans, his official, fully mixed and produced live albums are Frampton Comes Alive! (1976), Frampton Comes Alive II (1995), and Live In Detroit (2000).

The multi-platinum Frampton Comes Alive!, which was released on January 6th, 1976, hit Number One on April 10th, 1976 and featured the hit singles "Show Me The Way," "Baby I Love Your Way," and "Do You Feel Like We Do."

The album topped the Billboard album charts for 10 nonconsecutive weeks.

In January 2001, for its 25th anniversary, Frampton reissued a remixed and expanded version of Frampton Comes Alive! -- including four tracks that were not included on the original double album.
