Friday, 5/2 -- Hello, dears. Are you, the listener, starting to celebrate May 5th (a.k.a. Cinco de Mayo, or the Battle of Puebla)?

John might have to vote for Sarah Steelman or Kenny Hulshof for Governor because they were smart enough to not hang out with the President today.

We talked about the new Fast Eddie’s Courtyard.  JC likens it to the old Dallas Cowboys’ stadium.

Laurie believes that watching The Three Amigos is akin to eating two pizzas.

Mr. Thick Dick & Mr. Urinal Cake are featured in The Great Outdoors.

Calliope is spelled calliope.

JC heard that Friday is the day most people call in sick.

Speaking of sick, here’s video of babies dropped several stories for “good health and good luck” at a shrine in Solapur, in Maharastra, India, April, 2008.

Happy 54th anniversary of Stan the Man hitting five home runs in a doubleheader. Stan is a treasure and we are damn lucky to have him around.

Three things that turn men on according to a new study from the Kinsey Institute:
1. Many men consider intelligence one of the biggest turn-ons & they would rather be with a woman who is self-confident instead of lacking self-esteem.
2. Many guys would rather sleep with a woman if he has an emotional connection with her.
3. A surprisingly high number of men said that one location where they get turned on the most is the great outdoors.

This new survey by Cookie magazine just came out & it gives a whole bunch of interesting details about moms & their sex lives. Here's what the survey found:

23% of moms say their favorite way to get in the mood is watching porno. Another 21% say they need to drink alcohol before engaging in sexual relations with their husband.

32% of moms say they have sex more than once a week, but 77% say they want to have sex more often.

59% of moms say they don't want to have sex when their kids are in the house.

69% of moms say they are willing to have sex just to appease their husband, even if they're not feeling in the mood.

Only 36% of wives say they are just as attracted to their husband as they were before they had kids. (JC wants to know why this is.)

58% of moms say that instead of fantasizing about their husband they fantasize about coworkers, delivery men & other dads.

34% of moms admit to having an affair since having kids & another 53% say they have thought about having an affair. 48% think their husbands have cheated on them.

When your credit card company says they are giving you a “holiday” & you don’t have to pay that month, they don’t tell you that they still are charging you interest. So don’t fall for that!

JC can’t wait to start playing baseball again. His softball umpire story took another turn. (To see the origins of this saga, clicky.)

A different (& better) umpire still called strikes when the ball hit the plate. Last night JC & “Triple C’s” team won in a shortened game. The ump called “last inning” due to time constraints. The other (losing) team complained they could have won in a longer game & they lost because the umpire was 10 minutes late. I think it is a legitimate complaint, but only if they had voiced their displeasure immediately after the ump said “last inning, people!”

Laurie & I saw Iron Man. (Stay until the end!) I give it four outta five Interns.  Laurie gave it four & ½ Macs outta five.

JC & Laurie saw Then She Found Me. Two Corks outta five & Three Macs outta five.

Monday we start our Mother’s Day promotion featuring prizes from Merbs, Jed Limo, Daisy Clover, Sunset 44 & Stages Saint Louis for Thoroughly Modern Millie.

I told my friends at Christian Brothers College High School that I would mention their event next weekend. On May 10th the CBC Auto Club will be hosting its 3rd Annual auto show to benefit Friends of Kids with Cancer. To get more info, send them an e-mail at autoshow@cbchs.org.

Happy Quinceañera to JC’s elder daughter this Saturday.

The JoY was intro-ed by Bob Costas & Jimmy Smits & then the “Taco Town” parody from “Saturday Night Live.” The 3fA featured Don Henley & the conclusion of our week-long Saint Louis Bread Company promotion. The Vault was “Run for the Roses” by Dan Fogelberg. Finally, Ana Gasteyer, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler & Maya Rudolph have all been pregnant on “SNL.”
