Mayday, May Day, Happy May Day!
Yesterday, JC’s car wouldn’t stop running. So he looked under the hood & looked for the on/off switch. According to callers his cooling fan is wonky or his starter is effed.
JC has known five women with different spellings of the name pronounced “tam-mee.”
Our fire experiences:
Many years ago, John had firemen come to his apartment when he was broiling steaks.
Dave had a fire when he foolishly put wood on top of a starter log (& then went to make himself a cocktail).
When JC lived in Ballwin, a full propane bbq grill tank leaked and the fire department showed up and told him he was lucky to be alive.
My experience was when my parents’ fireplace had an errant ember.
Laurie, luckily, hasn’t had any fire experiences. Although she’d like to because she’s hot for firemen.
Recent movies that we laughed at: Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Talladega Nights, Juno, Superbad, Hot Fuzz & Iron Man (Laurie & I will review that tomorrow).
We talked about People’s 100 Most Beautiful people. Meh.

Congratulations go out to three-year-old Brady Arneson of Red Wing, Minnesota (southeast of Minneapolis), for taking home first place in this year's Minnesota Mullet Contest (sponsored by Hockey Moms magazine). The pressure was really on for Brady & his mullet this year. Because Brady's brother, five-year-old Blake, took home the Best Mullet Award three years ago in 2005.
Unfortunately, Brady's dad, Scott, says they're probably going to cut off Brady's mullet soon to help him keep cool this summer.
Ugly Rock Stars: Tom Petty, Keith Richards, Robin Gibb, Gene Simmons, Boy George, Alice Cooper, Flavor Flav, Pete Townshend, Patti Smith, Joe Perry, Mick Jones, Geddy Lee, Chad Kroeger, Ginger Baker, Mick Mars, Ric Ocasek & Amy Winehouse.
