Speaking of former producers, JC is going to the ballgame with Judy Martin today. And continuing the producers theme, Laurie left the show almost halfway through due to illness…We made her sick.
JC had questions about the guys who have played Fredbird. He also doesn’t understand the new Cardinals’ ad campaign (because baseball players can’t act.)
The late LA Rams player (& Saint Louis Rams’ broadcaster) Jack Snow appeared on “Bewitched” & in Heaven Can Wait.
We couldn’t think of something that changes so dramatically after usage, than something one buys at a hardware store.
“Quadrennial” means consisting of or lasting for four years.
We played the Bob Starr, Jack Buck and Mike Shannon “Cheesecake Story” from the mid 70s. It’s actually funnier when Bob Costas tells the story.
JC doesn’t think that Josh Groban ever sings any words, just sounds.
Men's Health had an online poll where they asked women what guys they fantasized about the most. The results:
12% said they fantasize about a pro athlete.
12% said a co-worker.
19% said a movie star.
24% said an anonymous guy.
33% said that the man that appears most often in their most intimate of fantasies is a friend.
Colonoscopy is the endoscopic examination of the large colon & the distal part of the small bowel with a CCD camera or a fiber optic camera on a flexible tube passed through the anus (& it is not surgery).
We had Kenny Mayne from ESPN with us today. He has a new book called An Incomplete & Inaccurate History of Sport.

We also had Erik Bates, who is starring as Tommy DeVito in Jersey Boys at the Fabulous Fox.
He used to sing with Frankie Valli and is now touring with the show. He’s the lead for the first part of the show. It was amazing that with his Jersey accent (still noticeable even when he’s not in character), he’s originally from Burbank.

The JoY was stand-up from Andrew Norelli (& our giveaway of $25 to Saint Louis Bread Company). The F4 featured JC’s 8-track memories & tickets to the opening night of the Greater Saint Louis Book Fair. The Vault was “Autumn” by the Edgar Winter Group. Finally, Cloris Leachman starred in “Phyllis.”
