Do you, the listener, think your morning commute is bad? I saw this in person when I was in Japan.
I saw a man let go of his briefcase & then retrieve it when his stop was coming up & was getting ready to exit the train.
We did our Four Seasons4 contest. JC freely admitted he’s not a fan of the band the Four Seasons. I don’t like the band Boston, John fell outta love with the Black Crowes (he has since fallen back in love with them) & JC feels the same about Frankie Valli.
Jersey Boys is coming to the Fox. Our prize packs feature four tickets to the show, Feraro’s Jersey Style Pizzas in Soulard & the grand prize includes an overnight stay at the aptly named hotel.
John doesn’t find entertainment entertaining.
Nearly one in five Americans think cheating on taxes is morally acceptable or is not a moral issue. Some 10 percent are equally ambivalent about cheating on a spouse.
In a survey by the Pew Research Center released in 2006, 88% of respondents said it was morally wrong to have an affair. Not reporting all income on taxes was called morally wrong by 79% of the people.
Survey respondents were read a list of 10 behaviors and asked whether, in their personal opinion, each one is "morally acceptable, morally wrong, or not a moral issue."
The percentage who called other activities morally wrong:
Drinking alcohol excessively: 61%
Having an abortion: 52%
Smoking marijuana: 50%
Homosexual behavior: 50%
Telling a lie to spare feelings: 43%
Sex between unmarried adults: 35%
Gambling: 35%
Overeating: 32%
Happy birthday to JC’s friend, Mary.
We talked to Kathleen Madigan who will be at the Fox Saturday night for the Bob Costas Gala. She’s doing the comedy with the music coming from Goo Goo Dolls. To find out more, clicky.
Her “Root of All Evil” episode on Comedy Central is coming up next Wednesday the 23rd. The topic is “Who is more evil, Korea’s Kim Jong-il vs. MTV’s Tila Tequila?”
The JoY was stand-up from Kathleen. The 3fA featured Grand Funk Railroad. The Vault was a long one (actually three short ones) by Bruce Springsteen from December of 1992. Finally, Adrien Brody played Lester Silverstone in King of the Hill.
