Crickets…

Or is it this?

Hello?
I’m all alone today.
JC is still under the weather, so John is off, too. And Laurie is on her way to her brother’s wedding.
I
received the following e-mails this morning at 6:18:
“I woke up feeling a little better today. Fever's gone. Still coughing a ridiculous amount, but way down from where it was.
Assuming I don't suffer another relapse I'd anticipate being back in on Friday. No guarantee but I really need to bust out of this.”
“…say on the air there's a good chance I'll be back tomorrow and we'll have Valerie Bertinelli live, plus a pair of Van Halen tickets (April 26th at Scottrade). Plus the Laurie Mac-Land seats for all three games of next week's series against the Brewers, plus details on the new season of Busch Bash tickets. More "smooshing" to come…”
Since today is the 100th day of the Highway 40 construction, our Best of Bits were highlighting the bits we have recently done on the Pre-wind:
We started with a replay of Laurie & me interviewing Joy Grdnic from Tuesday. The rest of the bits were from 2003 or 4.
-- When Laurie got a ticket & her butt-pressure technique.
--
The Tragic life of Heather Mills.
-- The Paul McCartney interview before his concert a few years ago.
-- Dick Ford & Betsey Bruce “Huge Jokes.”
-- Hovercrafts.
-- Scott Bakula talking about “Enterprise.”
-- Post-Opening Day singing debacle.
-- Why we still hate Bill Bidwill.
-- Our new Nextel phones.
-- And from January, JC not remembering the Political Sex Survey.
I teased our “Four Seasons, Four Seasons or Four Seasons” contest that we will start next week in anticipation of Jersey Boys coming to the Fox. It features four tickets to the show, Feraro’s Jersey Style Pizzas in Soulard & an overnight stay at the aptly named hotel.
We continued our Carlos Santana contest today, but since JC wasn’t here it was pretty simple. I’m sure if & when he returns, it’ll be a bit tougher. To see their shoes clicky.
The JoY was “Cab Drivers” by Jerry Seinfeld. The 3fA featured California/San Francisco songs from (the Mamas & the Papas, the Animals & Diesel) as the Cards head out west. Finally, the Vault featured a remixed live version of “The Rain Song” by Led Zeppelin.
