About the Blarrrg
: Hey there! This feature allows you to get the daily inside scoop on what's happening with The Showgram. Captain Carl (get it? It's a pirate thing...) will deliver the goods, including morning show reviews, commentary and inside info.

Monday, 4/7 -- Hey, everybody who isn’t ill!

JC is out today. He said he had a “major relapse.” So we think it is back that’s giving him trouble. But it could be something else. I’m sure we’ll hear about it tomorrow.

Here’s our best of bits today:

-- A Look Back at JC’s Back from last month – how prophetic!
-- The Cost of Everything is Going Up from last week.
-- The “Horton Hears a Wu” joke fom Saint Pat’s Day.
-- Laurie’s review of Shine a Light from last week.
-- Our Aaron Eckhart interview & then JC’s review of Meet Bill.
-- Harmonicas & Old Rock Teevee shows from Saint Pat’s.
-- Sports Celebs on 60s Sit-Coms from last month.
-- JC’s UFO & Science Theory from February.
-- Injuries at Sports Events from last month.

We started our Carlos Santana contest today, but since JC wasn’t here it was pretty simple. I’m sure when he returns tomorrow, it’ll be a bit tougher.

According to Snopes.com, the disgusting photos we had up on Friday’s Blarrrg may or may not be an accurate depiction of the bite of a brown recluse spider.

I also had this message from Julie:

Hey Carl,
I know there are only a few of us (pop. 254) who live in Berger and I am probably the ONLY person who listens to the Morning Showgram. I also realize that the Hermann area is "supposed" to be a German area. Unfortunately, Berger is pronounced with a soft G, Ber"j"er.

*cringe* Sorry to point it out, just thought you would want to know.

Thanks,
Julie

To the good people of Berger, I apologize. And to Julie, thanks, I do appreciate it.

For the JoY we honored yesterday’s anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition going into effect by playing Clean Living’s “In Heaven There is No Beer.” And here’s a hoosier opening a beer bottle with a chainsaw.

The 3fA featured ZZ Top. Finally, The Vault has a new sponsor, so we played Pink Floyd’s “Money” from Live 8.

Don't Do Anything Stupid,
Carl The Intern
