Monday, 3/24 -- Hello!

Easter’s over. But here are untimely tortured deaths of three Chocolate Bunnies. (Personally, I think it’s a waste of food.)

John’s back! Yea! Now I don’t have to say as much. Everyone breathes a huge sigh of relief (myself included).

While pumping gas, JC helped a young lady. Another time, I helped an older lady. John said he helped a middle-aged woman. But he lied. He’s never helped anyone. Laurie is a lady, but doesn’t need any help. (But would it kill us to offer?)

Q: Who shops in the middle of the day? A: hot chicks at Target & old people at the grocery store.

Was it safer 50 years ago or today? In other words, does the advent of 24-hour news channels mean that the crimes against people have increased or is it just reported more?

JC says I’m crazy for keeping my socks on during “relations.” But you, the listeners, stood up for me (& I thank you).

Rainbows can happen after snow showers. Dave calls it a “snowbow.” (It’s also in Urban Dictionary.)

Who’d We See?

Laurie: Friday – did her taxes & lost her stepson as a tax deduction; she stopped by the KHITS 96 Fish Fry and sent her husband to a birthday party. That evening they went to the Black Rep to see Death & the King’s Horsemen.

Saturday – screwed around (not literally. Well, I couldn’t tell from my perch in the alley.)
Sunday – along with her mother-in-law, made fun of her husband.

Me: Friday – saw lots of listeners at the Fish Fry, then went to the NCAA Wrestling Tournament at Scottrade Center.

Saturday – Three egg hunts (two at nursing homes, one at the Murphy's). Then I went to Easter Vigil & back to Wrestling (live on ESPN), where I met Mark from the Saint Louis Sports Commission. They had more than 90,000 people in 3 days. I also heard a rumor (not from Mark) that Saint Louis is working to get the NCAA Final Four again in 2012. At midnight I went to John’s Town Hall for a VO Manhattan to remember a former Christian Brothers College coach & teacher, Wayne Elwart. That is an awful drink, btw.

Sunday – off to out-state MO for Easter festivities, where we had another egg hunt.

JC: Friday night he watched parts two & three of “John Adams” on HBO. Kept getting videos from his daughters spring breaking in Colorado. By 10pm JC was in bed with his lovely wife watching “Real Time” on HBO. She was then startled by something. A 65-foot tree fell over & “Triple C” heard it. The neighbor’s tree fell on the Corcoran's property (although not causing any damages). JC wonders who is responsible for the tree's removal.

Saturday – Came in 3rd place in a Scrabble game because he challenged the acceptable word “gunky.”
Sunday – watched baseball & heard about Brad Brown’s birthday. But it wasn’t his birthday. Sorry, Brad.

John: He was away from us for three days last week. He went to a day of Spring Training & saw the left fielders miss two balls. He was also on a scouting mission to buy some property in Southern Florida. He returned to his family to see children’s sporting activities.

Easter Sunday – his family had an Easter egg hunt in his parents’ basement.

The JoY was stand-up from “Weeds” star Kevin Nealon. The 3fA featured the Rolling Stones & tickets to the Blues’ Ladies & Left Wings promotion. The Vault was “Three Roses” from the self-titled America album. Finally, Donna Pescow starred in ABC’s “Angie” with Robert Hays from 1979–1980.
