Everybody keeps complaining about what garbage movies are these days. Yet that doesn't seem to stop people from going to see them. Worldwide box office in 2007 was $26.7 Billion – a record.
Box office in the U.S. & Canada was $9.6 billion another record. (It was $9.14 billion in 2006.) Admission held steady at about 1.4 billion tickets sold, but movie prices were 5% higher. The average ticket price in 2007 was $6.88.
In London a man named Buster Martin is 101 years old. Buster didn't get around to retiring until two years ago when he was "just" 99. And once he was retired, he got bored. So now he's training to run the London Marathon next month.
He has a good shot; because Buster is already the oldest person to finish a 5k, a 10k & a ½ marathon. He did the half marathon in just over 5 hours. And he says he would've finished faster but he stopped halfway through for a cigarette & a pint of beer. Buster says he smokes & drinks every day & he regularly stops to enjoy a refreshing brew & cigarette in the middle of his races.

If Mark had that kinda money, then he’d finish his driveway. Or like Dave said, “get an island.” The state of Hawaii has special tax collections if you are not a resident.
John & Mark want to make lots of money while doing little or nothing.
We gave away our Jimmy Buffett lawn seats by knowing where the best “buffet” is in town. Miss Sheri’s isn’t really a buffet, we just took caller 10. Tickets for that show (April 24th) go on sale Monday, March 10th.
We now have a Dave Matthews Band date for the Busch Stadium Show: Saturday June 7th with The Black Crowes.
The JoY was “Four Yorkshiremen / The Lumberjack Song” by Monty Python. The 3fA featured Bad Company. The Vault was the long live version of “The Way It Is” by Bruce Hornsby & the Range. Finally, in 2000 Eric Clapton was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the 3rd time.
