Van Halen didn't cancel their tour but dates are being postponed so Eddie Van Halen can undergo some type of “medical testing.”

Dave said the snow was coming. It was just stuck on Highway 44, getting a Maid-Rite in Rolla and by 8am it had arrived. In the Saint Louis area typically one inch of rain = about 10 inches of snow. Although Dave says some places in Colorado it’s can be about 1 = 30.

John’s youngest daughter wants him to be safe in the snow & drive home at one mile per hour. John lives 25 miles away. So when he’s less than ½ of the way home he’d have to turn around and come back for the next day’s show. I told him it might be easier to walk.

Joe Buck isn’t going to do local Cardinals baseball games this year.

Jack Buck started broadcasting Cardinals games for KMOX radio in 1954, teaming with Harry Caray, Milo Hamilton (1954), and Joe Garagiola (from 1955). Buck was dropped from the Cardinals booth in 1959 to make room for Buddy Blattner; the following year, he called Saturday Game of the Week telecasts for ABC. Buck was re-hired by the Cardinals in 1961 after Blattner departed; Garagiola left the following year, leaving Caray and Buck as the team's broadcast voices through 1969.

After Caray was fired by the Cardinals following the 1969 season, Buck ascended to the team's lead play-by-play role. Buck teamed with ex-Yankees and Pirates announcer Jim Woods in 1970-71. In 1972, retired Cardinals third baseman Mike Shannon joined Buck in the broadcast booth, beginning a 28-year partnership.

Shannon began his big-league career with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1962. In 1970 he contracted nephritis, a rare kidney disease, which ended his playing career. Shannon joined the Cardinals’ promotional staff in 1971; a year later he moved to the team's radio booth. For almost three decades Shannon was paired with Hall of Fame announcer Jack Buck on the Cardinals' radio network.

So, for the 1st time since the gap year (1960) a Buck won’t be behind the mic as a regular Cards announcer.

The National Sleep Foundation has released a survey which found that 65% of Americans have some sort of sleeping problem. And even if they don't, they're probably still not getting enough sleep. (Most experts recommend we get at least eight hours every night.) According to the study, the average American goes to bed at 10:53 P.M. and gets up at 5:35 A.M.

And last year, 36% of Americans have fallen asleep while driving (that's over 100 million people) & 20% of Americans have lost all interest in sex because they're just too tired.

Randy Jackson from “American Idol” isn’t the Randy Jackson from the band Zebra, nor is he the Randy Jackson from KSDK (& incorrect score-giver). The JoY was “Ti Kwan Leep/Boot to the Head” by the Frantics. The 3fA featured Steely Dan. The Vault was “Call Me a Cab” by Mama’s Pride. Finally, Bugs Bunny was originally called “Happy Bunny.”
