Hello & Happy Leap Day!
Did you, the listener, miss me? Me, too. Congratulations to Melissa & Jack. I really enjoyed their wedding & all the festivities.
I had no idea how many people have been “out of town,” or at least that’s what they are saying in their e-mails to me. And, no, I have neither any news nor any announcements to share except for this:
Guys, I know you've been clamoring for this, but the wait is finally over. Now you too can have the round, shapely bubble-butt you've coveted for all those years. That's because clothing designer Andrew Christian has come out with a new line of underwear using “butt-lifting and contour technology to give men the illusion of a sought-after bubble-butt.” To get ‘em, clicky.
Laurie saw The Other Boleyn Girl - three outta five.
Four outta five for Starting Out In The Evening.
I saw Semi-Pro & gave it two outta five interns (Sorry, John).
John was trying to think of Bachman-Turner Overdrive last week as the band with three brothers in it.
All week we’ve had four-packs of tickets to The Wedding Singer for opening night on Tuesday, March 11th at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Tix are available at the Fox Theatre Box Office or at any Metrotix outlet.
Today we learned John Ulett doesn’t remember his wedding song.
Mark’s first live concert experience was the Stones in 1966. Don King joined us this morning to discuss “The Pride of Saint Louis” at Scottrade Center Thursday, March 27th. To learn more, clicky.
Where we’ll be this weekend:
Mark will be at the next stop on the 2008 Fish Fry tour today at Queen of All Saints.
At the same time today, John will be at AT&T in the Des Peres Pointe Shopping Center from 2-4pm with Blues Center Brad Boyes. Laurie is all over. Tonight she’s at the Sports Trivia Championship at Scottrade. On Saturday she will be at the Edward Jones Dome for the Home & Garden Show from 1:30-3:30 pm.
On Saturday she will also be at the Asthma & Allergy Foundation’s Orchid Ball.
I’ll be at the hockey game Saturday night.
My friends Vic & Laura are having their baby this weekend. They were due earlier in the week. But she wouldn’t let them induce until Leap Day was over because she’s having a girl. Laura said it would be okay if she was having a boy for him to be born on a Leap Day, but a girl needs a “real” birthday every year.
The JoY was “Love Me Sexy” by Jackie Moon (a.k.a. Will Ferrell) from Semi-Pro. The 3fA featured der Scorpions & our Fabulous Thunderbirds tickets (coming soon to Harrah’s). The Vault featured a pair of Stones songs for Leap Day (“Jumping Jack Flash” & “Time Is on My Side”). Finally, Hulk Hogan played Thunder Lips in Rocky 3.
