Tuesday, 2/26 -- Hello, this is the last you’ll hear from me until Friday. Of course, this means that something important will be announced between now & then. I apologize in advance.

Now, Mark is going to run the ship Wednesday & Thursday so please give him much leeway.

AARP is sponsoring the new Foreigner tour. People are invited into AARP when they turn 50, but one must join to “get the benefits.”

Gary Richrath (born 18 October 1949, Peoria, Illinois) was a member of the band REO Speedwagon from 1971 until 1989. He grew up across the river in East Peoria, where he attended high school.

Here’s a picture of my daughter’s snowman. She named it Hergalee (or Hergelee – what do I know, she’s four).

Both Mark & I received tickets from a traffic camera, although his ticket was a mistake (TPTB got the license plate wrong) and mine was not (I watched the video).

Rush is coming Saturday, June 28th at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater - St. Louis. Tickets on sale this Saturday, March 1 at 10am! Reserved Tickets: $45, $65 and $95. Lawn Tickets: $30.

All week we have four-packs of tickets to The Wedding Singer for opening night on Tuesday, March 11th at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Tix are available at the Fox Theatre Box Office or at any Metrotix outlet.

My Wedding song was “Don’t Ever Say Goodbye” by Rick Derringer. If I had to bet, then I would say that Mark’s would be played on Wednesday because it’s his Wedding anniversary.

Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 9, 2008 and ends Sunday, November 02, 2008 in the United States this year.

Bruce Springsteen appeared simultaneously on the covers of Newsweek and Time on October 27, 1975 after Born to Run.

Mark told a story about how Randy California & Spirit had their power cut off during a show because the owner of the radio station didn’t want to pay the overtime to the venue.

Then we heard the story of KISS at the Kite Fly. Hooray for Honda generators!

Jonathan Cain of Journey was born on this day in 1950. He was married to Tane McClure Cain, an American singer, actress & film producer. She was born and raised in Hawaii & is the daughter of actor Doug McClure. She has appeared in The Terminator & Legally Blonde. Mark knows her from her Cinemax show "Nightcap" & her music career.

From the wiki: Moving with Cain to Los Angeles, she landed a record deal in 1982 and released a self-titled album on RCA Records. Often compared to Pat Benatar, she disliked the comparison, preferring to identify herself with idol Grace Slick. "Danger Zone" was the first single, which did not chart, but the second, "Holdin' On", peaked at #37 on the Billboard Hot 100.

St. Luke's Hospital was the only hospital in Missouri named one of America's 50 Best Hospitals for the second consecutive year, according to HealthGrades, a national independent health-care ratings company (& not “filthiest” as some KHITS newsman said.)

The JoY was Monty Python’s “Cheese Shop.” The 3fA featured AARP & Laurie Mac-approved Foreigner & our tickets to see the Fabulous Thunderbirds (coming soon to Harrah’s). The Vault was “Fool’s Game” by birthday boy Michael Bolton. Finally, Eric Clapton’s last name may or may not be Clapp.

Don't Do Anything Stupid,
Carl The Intern
