Friday, 2/22 --
Hello, all. John is off today. He has a new business plowing snow.
Graupel is very small hail pellets, or like sleet, but rounder and thicker.
We started the morning off by stealing each other’s stories.
Mark’s fish fry broadcast has been a casualty of the weather, though the fish fry is happening. (Sorry, Our Lady of the Presentation in Overland.)
A 13-year-old boy in the eighth grade at an Ohio middle school was recently suspended for the rest of the school year. This boy apparently despised his principal, a man named Jeff Cook. So the boy made a phony MySpace page pretending to be Mr. Cook & said all sorts of horrible things about him. For example the kid wrote:
* “Mr. Cook's interests were getting-it-on with students and pleasuring himself in his office.”
* Mr. Cook had a naughty novelty called the, quote, "Purple Penetrator."
* Mr. Cook's favorite movies were gay porno.
* And Mr. Cook's heroes were Michael Jackson, Saddam Hussein & Hitler.
Mr. Cook found out about the page & had MySpace take it down. He then had the kid suspended for 80 days through the end of the school year.
The boy's parents, Toader and Marianna Osan aren’t furious at their son. The parents have actually filed a lawsuit against the school district saying their son's right to free speech has been violated. They're seeking their son's immediate return to school and a judicial order protecting their son's off-campus speech. (from The Smoking Gun)
Mark is at the HBC home show tomorrow night for the Block Party & Laurie is at Mini in Clayton on Saturday.
Meredith Baxter is naked in the breast cancer teevee movie “My Breast.”
Reviews: Laurie saw Charlie Bartlet – three outta five Macs - and Vantage Point – three outta five.
Woody Woodpecker’s niece & nephew were Knothead and Splinter.
Laurie says no one will laugh at you today if you, the listener, walk like Tim Conway’s Old Man.
The JoY was Jerry Seinfeld’s take on “Florida.” The 3fA featured Foghat. The Vault was Ram Jam’s “Black Betty” for the late Jim Gibbs. Finally, instead of Harrison Ford, the producers wanted the 5' 6¾" Dustin Hoffman for Blade Runner.
