Hi, the panic aisle is now open. Prepare yourself to make French toast – get milk & bread.
JC wonders how one gets mentioned 46 times in a steroid report and not get implicated in the report?
Would JC or John take steroids if their voices were going and if steroids would help their voices last another 5 years?
Today’s Christmas songs were the Rubber Band doing “Mary’s Boy Child,” (not) The Who doing “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and Bruce Springsteen & Conan O’Brien doing “Merry Christmas, Baby.”
Our 12 Days of Christmas: Today was “A Night on the Town.” George got over $5.5k worth of stuff for knowing:
- Madonna’s kids do not get Christmas presents.
- In the real life version of the song “The 12 Days of Christmas” four items’ (the two turtle doves, the three French hens, the seven swans a swimming & the nine ladies dancing) prices did not change from last year.
John killed his family’s fish(es) by changing the water. My cat is insane. JC’s new kitten (still nameless) is getting along with Victor. Laurie has two dogs, Buddy & Sally. We talked to them through the radio.
According to USA Today, 59.5% of all American households have at least one pet. 35% of all Americans have at least one child. Vermont has nearly 75% pet penetration, Idaho is second with over 73%, then Oregon at 73%, and Wyoming & New Mexico at 70%. Washington, DC is the least with 20%, then NY with 49%.
More cats than dogs, but more dog households than cat households. Turtle ownership is up (John & I think it’s due to Finding Nemo).
Pets are also living longer. 44% of dogs & cats are over the age of six, 20 years ago it was 32% & 28% (respectively). But that’s because last year Americans spent $24.5 billion on vet bills.
Laurie & I saw I Am Legend. She gives it four outta five Macs. I gave it three & a half outta five Interns.
Laurie saw Atonement. It’s British – three outta five Macs.
Laurie saw Romance & Cigarettes. It has a great cast, but it’s a stupid musical – one Mac.
Top celeb meltdowns: you know them already. Why mention them again?
Top baby names:
Girls – Sophia, Isabella, Emma, Madison, Ava, Addison, Hailey, Emily, Kaitlyn & Olivia (Abigail was number 11).
Boys – Aiden, Ethan, Jacob, Jayden, Caden, Noah, Jackson, Jack, Logan & Matthew.
Five obvious dating tips that aren’t obvious to guys:
- Make your bed.
- Take a shower.
- Brush your teeth.
- Smell nice.
- Shave.
Happy 70th birthday to Minko the Pinko.
Always looking for some local “flava,” here is Saint Louis Mayor Francis Slay throwing the first bowling ball at the grand opening of the Flamingo Bowl downtown yesterday. The bowling alley/restaurant and bar marks the rebirth of an area where vacant warehouses have stood empty for years. (UPI Photo/Bill Greenblatt)

The JoY was “Happy Fun Ball” from “SNL.” The 3fA featured one of the Christmas songs listed above and our tickets to Body Worlds from www.slsc.org. The Vault was sacrificed for wrong answers and silly minutiae. Finally, Dan Rather was on “60 Minutes.”
Don't
Do Anything Stupid,
Carl The Intern
