Tuesday, 12/11 -- Hi, all & everyone.

TLC Pricilla’s gave us some Christmas gift bags (www.prisy.com).

John’s gifts were all things dealing with running. He got a boob sipper, a junk holder, a thong, titaroni pasta and a purple ring.

Laurie received edible body paint, two plastic fantastics, position flash cards, undies and a blue ring.

JC will be using handcuffs, a Sex for Busy People book, a “Naked in the Woods” candle, some lemon grass massage oil, a feather & a pink ring.

I got a pirate costume, a Kama Sutra mermaid bathing kit & also a pink ring.

Is Kelly Pickler (from “American Idol”) as stupid as she seems, or is she a genius? We think she’s stupid, just maybe not as stupid as she lets people believe. Other dumb blondes we mocked today: Kevin Costner, Miss South Carolina, Tony Snow and current White House Press Secretary, Dana Perino.
Here’s Kelly on “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” (Spoiler alert! She isn’t.)

When John has a frog in his throat he doesn’t stop to clear his throat, he growls his way through it.

Dan O’Neill now has a website for his Sportsman’s Park book: www.Sportsmansparkbook.com.

Winnebago:
1. The former name of the Ho-Chunk tribe of Native Americans with reservations in Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin.
2. Winnebago Industries Inc. is a manufacturer of motor homes, otherwise known as recreational vehicles or RVs, in the United States. The company was founded in February, 1958 by businessman John K. Hanson in Forest City, which is located in Winnebago County, Iowa. At the time, the town was undergoing an economic downturn, and Hanson and a group of community leaders convinced a California firm, Modernistic Industries, to open a travel trailer factory, in a bid to revive the local economy.

Facts bout gold:
-- The Aztec word for gold is teocuitlatl, which means “excrement of the gods.”

-- The metal is also virtually indestructible and has been highly valued throughout history, so humans have always recycled it. Upwards of 85 percent of all the gold ever found is still being used today. See more here.

The Blues game starts at 8pm tonight. John & I apologize for any misinformation.

Today’s Christmas songs: The Santa Claus Polka, a greeting from the late Johnny Cash, “Little Hooters Girl.” And one more in the Jokes on You (see below).

Channel 5 is also playing the 12 Days of Christmas. Their grand prize is worth $1,000. Our 12 Days of Christmas continued today and listener Denna knew the answers to get $2679 worth of stuff.

  1. The Greeting Card Association of America says that the most cards are sent at Christmas, Valentine’s Day & Mother’s Day (in ascending order).
  2. CBS News says the average Christmas Tree is about 15 years old.

Led Zeppelin’s song list from last night in London:
“Good Times Bad Times”
“Ramble On”
“Black Dog”
“In My Time Of Dying”
“For Your Life” (first time they’ve ever played this song live)
“Trampled Under Foot”
“Nobody’s Fault But Mine”
“No Quarter”
“Since I’ve Been Loving You”
“Dazed And Confused”
“Stairway To Heaven”
“The Song Remains The Same”
“Misty Mountain Hop”
“Kashmir”
“Whole Lotta Love”
“Rock And Roll”

Happy Birthday, Teri Garr – even if you gave us a bad interview five years ago.

Dave settled an argument between a husband & wife. They were debating whether (& weather) more snowfall happened when they were kids as compared to now (& their kids). Dave told us the average snowfall in the Saint Louis area for these decades:
1950s it averaged 12.9 inches a year,
1960’s it averaged 19.5 inches a year,
1970’s it averaged 27 inches a year,
1980’s it averaged 20 inches a year,
1990’s it averaged 18 inches a year and
2000’s (so far) it averaging 14 inches a year.

The JoY was “House of the Rising Sun/O Little Town of Bethlehem” by Bob Rivers.

The 3fA featured Money songs from The Beatles, Steve Miller & Pink Floyd plus Body Worlds tickets. The Vault was “Mele Kalilkimaka” by Jimmy Buffett. Finally, in Fast Times at Ridgemont High Mike Damone tells Rat (from imdb.com), “First of all Rat, you never let on how much you like a girl. "Oh, Debbie. Hi." Two, you always call the shots. "Kiss me. You won't regret it." Now three, act like wherever you are, that's the place to be. "Isn't this great?" Four, when ordering food, you find out what she wants, then order for the both of you. It's a classy move. "Now, the lady will have the linguini and white clam sauce, and a Coke with no ice." And five, now this is the most important, Rat. When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.” (Although the song they play next in the movie, “Kashmir,” is from Physical Graffiti).
