Friday, 11/2 --
Hi. It’s the last day of the honeymoon. So JC & John will return on Monday (yea!). Laurie & I will have to stop our morning trysts (boo!).
“Best of the Showgram” Bits today:
TV Ratings Explained (from July),
Rachael Ray (October 2006),
Sports Sound Bite Reel (July),
Kathleen Madigan (June),
Pedro Guerrero (September),
TV Repairmen & Other Lost Americana (September),
Random Facts, Figures & Surveys (July),

Daylight Saving Time vs. “60 Minutes” (March).
And we also played the Kevin Nealon joke for Daylight Saving Time. Remember it is “Saving” not “Savings.” Feel free to correct as many people as you, the listener, can. And check your batteries on your smoke detectors & CO monitors.
Jeno’s & Tostino’s Frozen Pizzas are being recalled. And I love those Crisp Crust pies! Almost five million frozen pizzas with pepperoni toppings are being recalled because the pepperoni may be contaminated with E. coli, General Mills Inc. said on Thursday. See the complete list & instructions here.
The Queeny Park Pool is gonna close next year due to budget cuts! Nooooooooo! St. Louis County residents will face higher taxes and the shutdown of the Queeny Park swimming pool and North County skating rink next year, the result, officials say, of a tough economic period. St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley submitted to the County Council on Thursday his annual budget proposal, a document that included a property tax increase of 2 cents for every $100 of assessed value. Under the proposal, the county would close the swimming pool at Queeny Park and the ice-skating rink at the North County Recreation Complex. Both have major physical problems and suffer from declining use, the document says. The county would convert the rink into a fitness center and facility for indoor recreation. Booooooo!
To take up space I have two videos to share. Both of which I learned about while out (drinking) with my friends last night: First the Ninja Parade:
And here is “The One Semester of Spanish, Spanish Love Song:”
Trivia nights coming up that we thought you should know about:
JC wants to let you know about our friend, Dan Dillon, from KMOV hosting a trivia night on November 3rd in Olivette at the Community Center. For more information call Tracey Kent at 314.994.2403.
And The Allergy & Asthma Foundation of America – Saint Louis Chapter’s 3rd Annual Trivia Night, which will be held November 10, 2007 at CBC High School. Prepare for a fun night full of soda, beer, wine, snacks and fun! Doors open at 6 p.m. and trivia starts at 7 p.m. Laurie was originally supposed to host a round, but her show was extended (see more about that below). Learn more about the event here.
Go see Laurie in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (less than 10 shows left). Get’cher tickets here.
The JoY was Dane Cook, live in concert Sunday night. Some people think Dane is very funny. I think this is the only funny Dane Cook stand-up routine. I have to admit that I really think he was funny on “Saturday Night Live.” The 3fA was Soul Songs (yesterday was All Saints Day, Today is All Souls Day) from Sam and Dave, Santana, & the Doors (& a bonus from Soul Asylum). Finally, the Vault was “Time of the Season” by the Zombies & Blake Lewis from last year’s “American Idol.”
