Thursday, 10/4 --
Hi everyone! I am back in Saint Louis but Mr. Corcoran and the lovely “Triple C” are in Chicago recovering from a very good time they had at Genesis last night. Btw they are getting married in 25 days.
First I’d like to thanks Mrs. the Intern for guest-Blarrrging for me.
Cardinals acting General Manger John Mozeliak pronounces his name “moe-ZAY-lik” But we had to ask U-Man about it as we were given three different pronunciations this morning. Maybe former GM Walt Jocketty could apply for the vacant Saint Louis Fire Chief job.
Laurie also interviewed Dorothy Hamill this morning. She talked about the two loves of her life – Dean Martin Jr. & her daughter, Alexandra. Laurie also asked her about being cold at the rink and she replied that when she is at the rink she has a runny nose all. the. time. She will be in Clayton on Saturday promoting her new book A Skating Life at The Big Read. She’ll be at the University of Missouri-St. Louis Author Tent A from 1:15 to 2:00 pm.
Here are the Best of Bits we played today:
-- Isaiah Thomas’ Sexual Harassment Case Review (from yesterday)
-- Michael Palin (from September) -- Cosmopolitan Survey: Clothes Men Like (from August)
-- Boob Bouncing Survey (from September - that video reference in that segment can be found here
-- The sweaty U-Man photo we talked about in that segment that we never put up is here:
-- Dave Coulier in the studio (from September)
- Super Bowl Memories (from September)
-- A Stroll Down Saint Louis Radio Memory Lane (from August)
-- No Such Thing as Canadian Food (from September)
The JoY was Jerry Seinfeld (on “30 Rock” tonight) talking about hotels (where JC & “Triple C” are staying right now). The 3fA featured Genesis (my friends Tim & Chris are seeing them tonight). The Vault was Peter Gabriel-era Genesis (& a song they are performing on the current tour), “I Know What I Like (in Your Wardrobe)” from Selling England by the Pound. Finally, since he’s not here we didn’t do the Screen Test.
Don’t Do Anything Stupid,
Carl The Intern
