Mick Jagger's Funny Monty Python Promo
Posted 7/1/2014 8:21:00 AM

The iconic comedy troupe kicks off a 10 day run tonight at London's O2 Arena. In the video, Jagger and Charlie Watts appear to be watching soccer in a hotel room when an assistant asks Mick if he's ready to go over a set list for a Stones show. Jagger twists comments that he's surely heard regarding the Stones touring when he rails about Monty Python's 'expensive tickets to see a bunch of wrinkly old men trying to recaputre their youth', and he wonders why anyone would want to watch a group of men well past their prime perform material that's at least 40 years old,  then Jagger proceeds to pick songs for the set list from the '60's! Monty Python's first show tonight sold out in 45 seconds prompting add-on shows. These are the first Python shows since 1980. Meanwhile the Stones' wrinkling old arses (!) will tear it up on stage in Stockholm, Sweden tonight.
