Interview With Chicago Founding Member Lee Loughnane
Posted 6/13/2014 11:15:00 AM

47 years after blasting onto the music scene with the landmark album "Chicago Transit Authority" the band Chicago is releasing their 36th studio album (!!) entitled "NOW: CHICAGO XXXVI". In actuality it is not a 'studio' album by definition. This one is done '21st century style'. It is the first album the group has recorded using Pro Tools, a portable digital audio studio put together by founding member Lee Loughnane. Since the band mates live in various locations, recording together while on their seemingly endless tour schedule was the way to go on this new one. So Lee explains how it was done, and also touches on the 2014 induction of the album "Chicago Transit Authority" into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Listen to the interview and then a track from "Now:CHICAGO XXXVI"
